The mission of the Church of the Resurrection Department of Religious Education is to serve as a Christian/Catholic resource for the children and families of our church, community, and all children

      We strive to integrate the teachings of Jesus Christ into all aspects of our program, and provide opportunities for prayer and worship, building of faith community and encouraging outreach to others

      Our staff and volunteers are committed to nurturing the child's spiritual and moral growth with a strong foundation in the Catholic faith, so that they may live out the mission of Jesus.

C.R.E.E.D. ("Church of the Resurrection Elementary Education Days"), is for children entering grades K - 5. Classes are held on Monday - Thursday and run weekly for 1 hr. and 15 min. For questions or information call Joan or Peggy in the Religious Education Office at 939-1794.

All C.R.E.E.D. classes for the 2007-08 school year will begin the week of September 17th, 2007.

Reconciliation preparation will occur in all 4th grade CREED classes, beginning in November. The Sacrament will be received in late February 2008.

First Eucharist (or First Communion) preparation will occur in all 2nd grade CREED classes, and will begin in January. Parent meetings will be scheduled in early January 2008. The Sacrament of Eucharist will be received on April 12 during the 5:00 pm Mass or on April 20 at the 11:00 am Mass.

SPECIAL CLASSES are underway for students entering grades 2 - 5, who have not been baptized and/or received First Eucharist, and are above the age for which the Sacrament is typically received. Call Joan Lucius, Director of Religious Education, at 939-1794, to discuss your child's needs.
